Our Story
At Foothills Forest Cubs, we believe that hiking is an adventure that should be accessible to everyone. We started this business with the goal of making it easy for kiddos of all ages to explore freely and learn about the beauty of nature.
Meet Joanna Belzile and Elana Ladd
Hi! I'm Jo and I live for design and the arts. I studied photography and graduated with a degree in Anthropology from California State University of Fullerton. My passion for people and entrepreneurial spirit brought me west to Denver in 2016. I have fully emerged myself in the Colorado lifestyle and in my free time you will find me runn
Hi! I'm Jo and I live for design and the arts. I studied photography and graduated with a degree in Anthropology from California State University of Fullerton. My passion for people and entrepreneurial spirit brought me west to Denver in 2016. I have fully emerged myself in the Colorado lifestyle and in my free time you will find me running, exploring mountains, on my Peloton, or crafting. In February 2020, my whole life changed, and I became a mother to the silliest and sweetest little boy! This changed everything for me. Spending time together in nature helps us both feel grounded and is a bond we love to share.

In my free time I have always loved hiking and rock climbing. I spent a couple of summers managing ropes courses and outdoor programs at a summer camp. In October 2022 I became a mother to the best little girl. We have built a strong bond spending most of our time outside together exploring nature.
